Get Involved
There are many ways to be part of Paws and Boots for Good.
Whether you're a youth looking to build confidence, a family with a dog, or someone who wants to support meaningful community work, there’s a place for you here. Together, we are building confidence for youth, purpose for dogs, and good for the community.
Become a Youth Trainer
Join a hands-on program where you’ll learn to train carefully screened dogs from local families to become therapy dogs.
Through guided sessions, you’ll build confidence, communication skills, patience, and responsibility while gaining real experience working with dogs. No prior training experience is needed — just a willingness to learn and be part of something meaningful.

Volunteer Your Pet Dog
Families can volunteer their dogs to take part in our program, where youth help train them on the path to becoming therapy dogs.
All dogs are carefully screened to ensure they are a good fit. After the youth program, pet parents continue training and have the opportunity to participate in therapy visits that bring comfort, connection, and reading support to the community.

Visits can include reading programs, classroom support, senior visits, and community events. We work closely with each organization to ensure a safe and positive experience for everyone involved.
